Jared Leidich

The Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP), August 2008 to June 2009 -

Mr. Leidich was hired as a Research Assitant (RA) and then temporary engineer through the completion of the re-design and build of the Cosmic dust Reflectron for Isotopic Analysis (CRIA). Mr Leidich served a lead role in the re-design of the CRIA unit intended for use on the moon or in deep space for analyzing size and composition of dust particulate using a strong magnetic field guiding dust impact derivatives to a mass spectrometer. The rebuild was succesful and showed promising results during its testing at the dust accelerator in Heidelberg, Germany. A flight unit is hoped to follow in the future pending further funding.
